HR Generalist @ Via Amsterdam & Via Antwerp
Do you thrive in dynamic, people-driven environments and feel at home in the hospitality world? We’re looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support our hotel operations in Amsterdam-Diemen and Antwerp, with your primary work location based in Amsterdam-Diemen and incidental travel to Antwerp.
What you’ll do
As our HR Generalist, you’ll be involved in the full HR lifecycle, including:
Acting as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related questions
Supporting recruitment and onboarding for hotel teams
Managing contracts, personnel administration, and HR documentation
Assist the Financial Controller in the complete payroll cycle for both countries, including preparation, data verification, payroll input, and coordination with external payroll providers
Advising managers on local employment law, HR policies, and procedures
Supporting performance management, absence management, and employee relations
Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Providing HR support to both locations, with occasional on-site presence in Antwerp
Job requirements
You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:
You have a proven track record in a similar HR Generalist role, ideally within hospitality or a service-driven environment
You bring strong knowledge of local employment law (Dutch and Belgian; both is a must)
You are legally allowed to work in the EU
You are based in or able to commute to Amsterdam-Diemen
You’re comfortable working cross-border and open to incidental travel to Antwerp
You’re approachable, pragmatic, and confident in advising managers
You work independently while collaborating easily with diverse teams
You’re fluent in English (Dutch and/or French is a strong plus)
